Cleaning up, packing up, Making changes...

This year is off to a fresh start. With a new baby and growing business, we've decided to list our house and search for something that fits our family better as well as move my studio and business into a retail/comercial space (details coming soon)

So in efforts to make room, get organized and de-clutter I'm having a Super Sale, As I am backing up and going through old images I realize I don't need to keep all of them forever. So I'm offering them at a very low price so that you can have one last chance to purchase your images before they are deleted from my storage.  I'm also offering a few other amazing products like on the canvas gallery wraps- on sale in efforts to get your images off my computer, into your homes and on your walls for you to showcase with pride. Luke and Lindsay's Wedding

This was such a fun wedding. The bride and groom were so relaxed and fun. Everyone really enjoyed their wedding and danced into the night. By far one of the best father daughter dances I'd ever seen. So much emotion on this beautiful day. I laughed and I cried as I captured their story!

So long my beautiful blog....

So I had a word-press Pro photo blog. It was amazing. I loved the design and started blogging on it last January for the new year. With the busy wedding season my blog got put off for a while and I hadn't posted anything new in a few months. Recently it was brought to my attention by a friend that my blog was gone... So I began to investigate the situation.
Apparently in Sept. when a sales person from Go-daddy called me to renew some of my hosting stuff they thought I didn't need my blog since I hadn't posted anything new recently and deleted it.. To sum things up all content is lost, design is lost, and time is lost.... So frustrating.. and now for me with a new baby on the way and not a whole lot of time to blog any way.. I feel it is best for me to go back to my simple little blogspot blog.. where I can blog for free and though I don't have as much control over my blog it's been consistant over the years and easy to use. No one can delete it, but me.. My content is safe here.

So to all the fancy pants bloggers out there who have time to design a sick ass blog and post all the time props to you folks!!
I hardly have time to post to facebook, and do people ever really read or care about my blogs anyway??? I'm not sure... but either way I'm going to hold off on the investment of a fancy blog for 2013 and put my hard earned money and time in to something I"m passionate about...

Painting our way into the new year with light {Light Painting, Vancouver WA Photographer}

 I am so excited to post these images!! Last night we had a small bon fire with a few friends before they headed down town to the bars for New Years Eve (didn't have a babysitter or we'd have joined them in the fun) So anyway, we're standing there and my husband pulls out a big bag of fireworks left over from the 4th. He handed out some sparklers and I jumped up immediately and was like "Wait! I gotta get my camera!!!" I have read about Light painting and I've been wanting to try it for so long but haven't had the people, location or light to try it out... Last night was perfect!! I snapped a few first and then told my friend to go out in the grass and light the sparklers at the same time.. with a very low shutter I captured the following images.. and experimented with a few different designs.. just before we ran out of sparklers.. I was so excited about these when we were doing them. Thanks to my awesome friends for following my creative lead and helping me to create all these images. I can't wait to do it again and experiment with other light sources. What a fun way to make art!! I hope you find these images entertaining and inspiring. Wishing you a very blissful New Year 2012!
